Katra, Feb 14 (KNN) Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), in association with Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra (HRAK) and Jammu Region Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) organized a programme to make aware about the several schemes being provided by MSME Department to hoteliers, traders and business community.

The programme saw representatives of major financial institutions who also provided information and guidance with regard to various schemes and incentives.

Speaking on the occasion, President Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra and Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce, Rakesh Wazir said that business as a whole can’t develop until and unless the entrepreneurs, financial institutions and Government departments go together.

''Most of the people are notb even aware about the various schemes and incentives being provided by the Government due to which entrepreneurs could not even avail those incentives and the programmes,'' he added.

Wazir further asserted that main purpose of these incentives set up new units besides generating employment. These incentives also help in development of the area.

Deputy Director Industries, Dr Ashwani Kumar and Assistant Director MSME, Mohit Kumar, requested the representatives of various financial institutions to pass on the benefits of incentives particularly 2 percent interest subvention to the entrepreneurs.

Shyam Lal Kesar, Chairman HRAK, Rahul Sahai, Co-Chairman PHDCCI Jammu Region and Virender Kesar, Sr Vice President HRAK and convener/Head Reasi District, urged the authorities that all the benefits which are available to the industries should be made available to the hotel industry as well.

The meeting witnessed Vivek Sharma, Vice president HRAK; Koushal Magotra, Convener/Head PHDCCI Patnitop; Rakesh Sharma, Arun Kumar, Amit Sharma and Sohan Kohli.
