Ludhiana, Mar 7 (KNN) Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in association with Punjab Government will organise a three-day district-level conclave named District Udyam Samagam (Dus) from March 14 to 16 at the Punjab Trade Centre in Industrial Estate here.

A meeting was organised on Friday, regarding the same by the district administration, presided over by Ludhiana deputy commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal.

General Manager of District Industries Centre (GM-DIC) Mahesh Khanna too was present on the occasion.

Addressing officials present in the meeting, Agrawal said, “The district-level Udyam Samagam will be a confluence of various activities like technical sessions from experts through dissemination of hand-holding support being provided by state as well the union governments through promotional schemes for MSMEs.''

''Top industrial hubs are being invited to participate in the vendor development programme, B2B & B2C components and exhibition, where on a common platform they will share and exchange ideas related to sustainability of business, addressing challenges being faced by MSMEs, policies, practices to supply of inputs, production, processing, transporting, and marketing of products and employment generation through micro and small enterprises,” he added.

The deputy commissioner also said that a trade fair-cum-exhibition is also being organised to exhibit the latest techniques and tools from the field of MSME, self-help groups, agencies, and institutes supportive for enterprises.

''A screening committee too has been constituted under the ADC’s chairmanship, which will comprise GM of DIC (Ludhiana), MSME (Ludhiana) director, and two members from the office-bearers which will finalise and allot stalls free of cost to micro and self-help groups, which are 70 in number,” he said.
