MSME sector plays a big role in employment generation in Manipur: MoS MSME

Churachandpur, Sept 3 (KNN) In a small state like Manipur, MSMEs are key players that create job opportunities for the locals, said Union minister of state for MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma on Friday.

The Minister said the MSME ministry is focusing on creating a benchmark for MSEs in northeastern region. 

He was in the state on an official visit and chaired a national SC/ST hub conclave held in Churachandpur district headquarters.

The conclave was organized by the Union ministry of MSME at EBC Gospel Centenary Hall at New Lamka of Churachandpur district headquarters.

MoS in his inaugural address said the Centre was actively engaged in spearheading various initiatives for the overall inclusive development of enterprises across the country.

He expressed confidence in the people of Manipur and said that through the conclave, SC/ST entrepreneurs will explore innovative ideas and mutual business opportunities, and avail various benefits from the scheme.  (KNN Bureau)
