MSMEs hail deferment of consent from PPCB for operating factories
Ludhiana, July 27 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have hailed the decision by Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) for extending the validity of consent for operation, authorization, registration and any other mandatory regulatory clearances.
''PPCB extended the validity of consent for operation, authorization, registration and any other mandatory regulatory clearances has been extended up to March 31, 2021, in view of corona crisis,'' said Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) president S Upkar Singh Ahuja, & General Secretary Pankaj Sharma in a statement.
''In order to ensure the participatory regulation compliances of environmental regulations, the industry which were operating without the consent of the board have been given up the time up to December 31, 2020 to apply for obtaining the clearances under the Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (VDS),'' they added.
CICU also thanked Chief Minister of Punjab, Chief Secretary, Chairman PPCB and Member Secretary PPCB Er Krunesh Garg for helping the MSMEs by easing clearance norms of PPCB.
