MSMEs, PSUs participate in Odisha MSME Expo

Organised by the state Department of MSME, MSME- Development Institute, Ministry of MSME, Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC), Orissa Industries Association (OIA) and other MSME associations in the state, the National Vendor Development Programme cum industrial exhibition and buyer-seller meet is being held from December 11-14.
“The objective of the vendor development programme is to bring mother plants as buyers, MSMEs as sellers and promotional agencies together on common platform for forging business tie-ups for mutual benefit,” said an official statement.
The event was inaugurated by Minister, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Public Grievances and Pension Administration, Jogendra Behera.
Mother plants like Nalco, MCL, NTPC, PPT, Paradip Refinery Project (IOCL), Ordnance Factory, ODCL, East Coast Railways, Tata Steel, IFFCO, NINL and BSNL joined in the programme.
Promotional agencies and financial institutions like SIDBI, IDBI, SBI, Indian Bank, Allahabad Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, NPC, KVIC, Coir Board and APITCO also participated.
Also present at the inauguration were MSME department Secretary Panchanan Dash, Controller of Stores, East Coast Railway, K Krishna Murthy, Director of Industries N Palai, Orissa Industries Association president, Abani Kanungo, MSMEDI, Cuttack Director, PK Gupta and Assistant Director (G&C) CP Reddy.
