MSMEs to get exclusive shops to sell ‘Made in Kerala’ products in local markets

Thiruvananthapuram, April 20 (KNN) The Kerala Government has decided to set up exclusive shops for MSMEs to sell their ‘Made in Kerala’ products in all panchayats on the lines of supermarket chains.

Speaking at the launch of the first of five promotional videos for the social media campaign to create 100,000 MSMEs in the state during FY23, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir P Rajeeve said the exclusive shops will sell government-certified products.

He said the 2022-23 scheme is being implemented by the industries and commerce department of Kerala in partnership with various departments and agencies.

The motto of the scheme is Ente Samrambham Nadinte Abhimanam’ (my venture, pride of my country) and around Rs 120 crore has been allotted for its implementation.

The State Insustries Minister assured that the government will strengthen the networking and marketing for the sale of Kerala-brand products. 

He also pressed on the need for a change in the public perception about entrepreneurship.  (KNN Bureau)
