Mysore MSMEs seek waiver of fixed power charges

Mysore, Nov 23 (KNN) The Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Council (MSME Council) have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner, to waive off power fixed charges for two months during the COVID-19 induced lockdown period.

In this regard, a delegation of MSMEs, met Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri at her office here on Thursday and submitted a memorandum seeking waiver of power bills for two month.

''Maintaining that MSMEs and printers suffered huge losses during the lockdown that was enforced following the outbreak of the deadly pandemic in March, the delegation members apprised the DC on the severe inconvenience caused to them by the apathetic attitude of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC),'' an statement quoted Suresh Kumar Jain, General Secretary, MSME Council.

Pointing out that CESC was making an inordinate delay in the waiver of power bills, which has been ordered by the Union Government, they said that the waiver will largely help in the survival of small enterprises.

MSME Council President Ravi Koti, General Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain, Women entrepreneur Susheema, MSME Help Desk’s Mohammad Fazil, and others were present.
