Mysore MSMEs urge bankers to do away with tax-paid receipt for loan renewal
Mysore, July 18 (KNN) The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Mysore have requested the bankers to give up on khata and tax-paid receipt for loan renewals.
Interacting with the city bankers, N.H. Jayanth, President of Hebbal Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (HIEMA) appealed them not to insist on khata and tax-paid receipt for renewals as he heighted the problems faced by the industrialists.
The interaction between MSMEs and bankers was organised by the Mysore District Industries Centre (DIC) in partnership with HIEMA at its convention centre.
Bankers representing State Bank of India (SBI), Canara Bank, SIDBI, KSFC and Bank of India had participated in the event.
Among several issues, Jayanth raised the issue of Hootagalli City Municipal Council (CMC) which charges more than double taxes when compared to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).
Informing the industrialist about the Government order on the matter, Secretary of HIEMA C.M. Subramanian said the Hootagalli CMC is not supposed to collect any taxes as it does not provide infrastructure facilities to the entire Hebbal Industrial Area and the KIADB and HIEMA are maintaining the infrastructure.
Highlighting several schemes offered by government to industrial units, DIC Deputy Director Varde Gowda assured industrialists that there will not be any delay in attending to their problems.
Bank managers along with their team members presented various loan schemes of their respective bank.
