Mysuru industries ask district administration to hold Industrial Dasara
Mysuru, Aug 17 (KNN) In line of hosting ‘Kaigarika Dasara’ with Dasara functions, Mysuru Industries Association (MIA) has requested the district administration to consider hosting Industrial Dasara also.
MIA Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain along with a delegation suggested Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gautham on Tuesday that for organising the event support can be sought from Department of Industries and Commerce and the Union Ministry of MSME.
After a hiatus of two years this year’s Dasara is expected to attract a large number of people with the celebrations going grand, the industries are of the view that holding ‘Kaigarika Dasara’ will give a boost to industrial development in the region.
MIA also presented a memorandum in this regard to the Deputy Commissioner.
Owing to the diversity of industries in and around Mysuru, tourists can be taken around Mysuru Silk Factory, Mysore Paints and Varnish Limited that manufactures voters’ ink and other establishments, said MIA.
The association has also suggested to hold seminar on the industrial policy to help visitors understand the government’s policy for industrial development and vendor development programme. (KNN Bureau)
