Kohima, Aug 22 (KNN) The Nagaland Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Investment Conclave to begin today at the NBCC Convention Centre in Kohima.

Union minister for finance and corporate affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate the Investment Conclave.

The investment conclave is scheduled to have an interactive session on experience sharing and developing partnerships, investment opportunities in Nagaland and a thematic discussion on achieving sustainable development and CSR (Best practices, key challenges, learning, outcomes).

The interactive session will have discussions with CSR implementing agencies (NGOs), to be led by Sentimongla Kechuchar, ED, NEIDA, Nagaland and Chongshen Soted, Head of Programmes, ECS Nagaland. After interaction with implementation partners, administration and departments, the area of idea exchange and forging partnerships will take place on thematic areas of entrepreneurship, skill development, innovation, education, sports, health and nutrition, agriculture, forest & environmental sustainability.

The conclave will also have a Banker’s conclave/credit outreach programme on August 23 at Capital Cultural Hall Kohima at 10:55 AM.

During her visit to Nagaland, Sitharaman will also be visiting Mon and dedicate Axis Bank branch there along with virtual dedication of Axis Bank branches at Demow, Sibasagar, Gohpur, Biswanath (Assam) and Madanrting, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya.

She will also virtually inaugurate the Nagaland Rural Bank branch at Chessore and launch two projects under tribal development fund of NABARD.The finance minister will also announce 100 per cent saturation of all eligible farmers under KCC in two project areas in Wokha and Phek districts under Nagaland State Cooperative Bank.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Government of India Sanjay Malhotra, and Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India Rajesh Verma, Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) Chief Executive Officer Alemtemshi Jamir, Nagaland’s chief secretary J Alam, R Dinesh, president designate of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are among those who will be present at the event.  (KNN Bureau)
