The announcement was made during an ODOP Sampark event organized by the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in collaboration with Invest India and the Department of Industries and Commerce, Nagaland.

It was National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) Drive in Kohima. The drive focused on chili farming, with over 30 farmers from Kohima participating in the workshop.

During the event, the documentation for organic certification for 15 chili farmers was completed, while the verification process for others is still ongoing.

This certification will enable better access to international markets and ensure better prices for the farmers.  (KNN Bureau)
