MSME Ministry, NVCFL partner to amplify businesses of Northeast through SRI Fund

Dimapur, May 3 (KNN) Ministry of MSME has collaborated with NSIC venture capital fund limited (NVCFL) to host “BizAmp- Amplifying businesses of Northeast region through SRI Fund” on 4 May, 2023 in Dimapur.

It aims to empower MSMEs of the eight north eastern states, reported Nagaland Post.

Secretary, Ministry of MSME, BB Swain will attend as chief guest which will be held at Agri Expo Hall, Dimapur, Nagaland.

Giving the details at a press conference, NSIC venture capital fund Ltd chief executive officer Saravana Kumar said the programme intends to empower MSMEs from the North Eastern states and amplify their businesses utilizing benefits under SRI funds.

He also said that the central government has launched SRI fund with an outlay corpus of Rs 10, 006 crore.

“It is concentrated towards financing an infusion of capital of MSMEs through daughter funds,” he added.

The SRI fund managed by NVCFL, is an Alternative Investment Fund (AFI) providing growth capital to MSMEs through equity/ quasi-equity/ equity-like structured instruments.

As on March 31, 2023, the fund has made a capital commitment of Rs 5,120 crore to 42 empanelled daughter funds, he added.  (KNN Bureau)
