Nagpur Hosts PM Vishwakarma Exhibition For Small Entrepreneurs

Nagpur, Dec 16 (KNN) The Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) - Development and Facilitation Office (DFO) Nagpur has launched a three-day trade fair aimed at showcasing and supporting local artisans and skilled workers under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.

The exhibition, which opened on December 14 at Reshimbagh Ground, will continue through December 16.

Inaugurated by local MLA Mohan Mate, the event brings together key stakeholders from regional economic development organisations.

Alongside Mate, prominent figures including COSIA Vidarbha chairman Julfesh Shah, MSME-DFO Nagpur joint director VR Sirsath, and MGIRI Wardha deputy director Vikas Choudhary were present to emphasise the significance of the initiative.

During the inaugural ceremony, Mate highlighted the exhibition's potential to create a robust marketing platform for Vishwakarma entrepreneurs, encouraging public participation through direct purchasing.

Technical sessions conducted by MSME-DFO, MGIRI, and associated organisations will provide comprehensive insights into available resources and support programs.

Sirsath elaborated on the scheme's broader objectives, explaining its mechanism for transforming skilled workers into independent entrepreneurs.

The program covers 18 distinct trades across rural and urban landscapes, offering critical marketing assistance and developmental support to small-scale business owners.

The exhibition represents a significant effort to bolster local entrepreneurship and provide structured support to small-scale artisans and craftspeople in the region.
