New Delhi, Jun 14 (KNN)  Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) has proposed to develop a new industrial model township (IMT) in Faridabad with state of the art infrastructure, housing and industrial plots and provision for institutional sites.

It will be located across Agra canal but linked from National Highway No.2 by 90 mtrs wide periphery road.  The IMT will be spread across an area of 1784 acres covering sectors 66, 67, 68 and 69, as per official data.

The industrial estate will have state of art infrastructure, namely all-weather metalled roads, water supply system, water works, sewerage disposal system etc.  It will also have provision for group housing, residential plots and industrial housing; as also commercial and institutional sites.

To obtain environmental clearances for the IMT, the Haryana State Pollution Control Board is planning to hold a public hearing on July-17 at the project site.

“The project is covered under the ambit of Environmental Impact Assessment Notification …dated 4th Sept 2006, issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, New Delhi, and thus environmental clearance is mandatory for the proposed project.  Accordingly the project proponent has applied to the concerned authority for environmental clearance,” an official notification from the Haryana State Pollution Control Board said today.  (KNN/ES)
