Jodhpur, Oct 11 (KNN) Moving against pollution generating textiles and steel industries in Jodhpur, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed Rajasthan Pollution Control Board (RPCB) to probe such units operating in the city.

Following NGT's order, the 12 member team of RPCB will inspect about 418 units in Jodhpur.

The board will investigate 319 textiles and around 100 steel units connected to the Jodhpur Pollution Prevention Trust.

During the inspection, the team will check GPAS systemized panel meter, safety facility and equipments for labor, method of water discharged from factories etc.

After completing the inspection of textile and steel units, RPCB will have to submit a complete investigation report to NGT.
