NIMSME facilitates training to over 400 women in starting small trade-businesses

New Delhi, Oct 9 (KNN) In an attempt to encourage entrepreneurship among the women of the region, the National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) recently trained over 400 women with skills to start their small trade and businesses.

NISME in a press statement informed that in the past six months, over 400 women have been trained for about 125 to 216 hours in nine different businesses including injection moulding, paper napkin making and carpentry.

Also training in the field of baking, food processing and computerised embroidery was imparted by the organization.

NIMSME expects that this initiative will help the women of the area turn into potential entrepreneurs.

NIMSME also informed that a total of 540 people from the different districts of Telengana have been trained under the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) and Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme ESDP so far.

NIMSME under its ASPIRE program is also focussing towards promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship in the agro based industry. The institute has received a grant of 85 lakh rupees from the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this regard. (KNN/ DA)
