NIT Srinagar calls upon MSMEs for Idea Hackathon-2022; innovators to get financial aid of Rs 15 lakh

Srinagar, Mar 17 (KNN) National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar’s Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (IIED) Centre has invited applications for MSME’s Idea Hackathon-2022 and has announced a funding support of up to Rs 15 lakhs to develop a prototype.

The aim of the scheme is to support unexplored potentials and creativity of individuals of Kashmir, said Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Rakesh Sehgal. 

“Through this initiative adoption of advanced technology necessary for manufacturing will be promoted along with enhancement of knowledge-based innovative MSMEs,” he said.

The last date to submit the application form for the hackathon is 24th March, 2022.

Students, Innovators and MSMEs from all over J&K and incubatees are being encouraged to apply for the hackathon by the institute.

NIT Srinagar had earlier supported two ideas under incubation scheme and five ideas under design expertise scheme.

This marks the second phase of Idea Hackathon-2022 by MSME Ministry under a modified scheme called “Champion Scheme” wherein any individual or MSME can apply for grants under incubation, design and IPR schemes. (KNN Bureau)
