Bhubaneswar, Aug 30 (KNN) The Proposals for 10 industrial project worth Rs 2005.89 crore received the green signal from the Odisha government on Monday.

The  proposals under metal and metal downstream, pharmaceutical, chemical, infrastructure, and tourism are among the ten industrial projects which got nod of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra.

These projects will help generate employment for more than 3,545 people in the state.

Summa Real Media Private Limited’s proposal to set up a pharmaceutical manufacturing and research unit comprising pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) manufacturing and pharmaceutical research and development centre with annual capacity of 1.6 billion units at Gothapatna in Bhubaneswar, Khurda district at an investment of Rs 200 crore was approved by the concerned authorities. This project will create job opportunities for over 1,280 people.

Another proposal that was approved by SLSWCA was that of Sanvira Industries Limited, to set up a Carbon Electrode Paste manufacturing plant (Capacity 100,000 MT) in Danagadi of Jajpur district at an investments of Rs 205.44 crore. Over 260 people will get employment with the approval of this project.

Proposals to setup manufacturing unit of Chemicals (Sulphuric Acid, Surfactant) and Fine Fabric/ HDPE/ PPWoven Sacks, 0.11 MTPA Ferro Alloys plant, 5 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation plant are amongst those that were approved.

All these projects will not only generate employment in the state but also help the state in its overall development.  (KNN Bureau)
