Bhubaneshwar, Dec 23 (KNN) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has reviewed credit linkage to farmers, Mission Shakti groups & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) with Collectors and bankers.

The Odisha CM appreciated the banking community for doing great service even during the lockdown period risking their lives.

While reviewing the credit linkage on Tuesday, the Odisha CM asked the banks to continue to provide loans though the rate of lending loans has increased in the last couple of weeks.

''We can lend a helping hand to the farmers by granting them loans. The performance of banks in districts of Sonepur, Balangir and Sundargarh has been satisfactory in terms of granting loans to the farmers,” Patnaik said.

Patnaik also said that grant of loan to the SHGs has been the topmost priority of the State Government.

“The banks will fulfil their target of grant of loan in the next three months of this fiscal and another review meeting will be held on February 26,” added Patnaik.
