New Delhi, Oct 30 (KNN) With Make in Odisha Conclave-2018 on the anvil, the state government has decided to organize a smart hackathon in skill development sector to encourage innovation in the state.

On this development, Industries Secretary Sanjeep Chopra said “This year’s conclave, beginning November 11, will be marked by a 36-hour smart hackathon in skill development.”

The 36 hour hackathon will begin from 9 am on November 13 and will close at 10 pm on November 14 at College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar.

The outcomes of the hackathon will be presented at a seminar on November 15, at the last day of the conclave, Chopra added.

Also, preparation of the biennial conclave was reviewed at a high level oversight committee meeting under the chairmanship of Industries Minister Ananta Das.

During the review meeting, it was decided that the five-day event will have 24 broad thematic sessions covering sectors like food processing, MSME, aerospace and defence manufacturing, electronics and IT, women entrepreneurship, bio-tech, media and entertainment, smart city promotion, downstream industries in metal sector, chemicals and petrochemicals, logistic and infrastructure, healthcare investment, skill development, tourism investment, textile and apparel, agri-business investment and agri-marketing.

He also directed the departments to showcase various investments potential and projects of Odisha in the conclave.

A central control room has been set up to address any issue and provide required information to participants.

The control room has started functioning with the number 18003457111 and e-mail mio2018@investodisha.org.

The control room will shift to Janata Maidan, the venue of the conclave from November 9 with phone number of 9556344800 and the same e-mail.
