Odisha registers 1300 start-ups; 40% led by women entrepreneurs

Bhubaneswar, July 19 (KNN) Odisha has recognised more than 1300 start-ups with women entrepreneurs leading 40 per cent of them, said Executive Chairman, Startup Odisha, Dr Omkar Rai.

Delivering his keynote address at a start-up event, he said O-Hub with its world-class facilities & services shall continue to be the epicentre of such programs in the state.

The State MSME Minister Pratap Keshari Deb was present at its concluding ceremony and asserted that Odisha is the right place for start-ups to grow and nurture themselves.

He said that all those start-ups and investors who are trying to explore must know that the time of Odisha has come and this is the right opportunity to start in Odisha.

The Minister emphasized on the large technical pool of resources and the field ready with land, water, infrastructure & power which make Odisha a versatile state for anybody to start their enterprise here and grow holistically.

A start-up privilege club of 50 start-ups was also announced to benefit them with further support & linkages from Government, Industry and Investors.  (KNN Bureau)
