Odisha steps up efforts to improve industrial infrastructure

Cuttack, Dec 20 (KNN) To ensure industrial growth and development, the Odisha government has plans to build industrial townships and equip them with adequate infrastructure.
The Odisha Small Industries Corporation Limited (OSIC) has plans to improve facilities in Madhupatna industrial estate. It wants to construct a concrete structure as per international standards in the industrial area.
Towards this, OSIC is seeking partnership from manufacturers of pre-fabricated steel to be service provider.
The government owned OSIC aims to aid and assist small scale industry units in the state, ensuring their sustained growth and development and gear up for the industrialisation process.
It provides marketing support to SSI units through its contract exchange scheme by participating in major tenders in construction work mainly fabrication and erection work. Besides OSIC also undertakes work in civil construction. (KNN/ST)
