Cuttack, Nov 14 (KNN)  The Odisha government is planning to assist small scale industries (SSIs) engaged in manufacture of electronic products to expand their market.

In this regard, the state government has invited bid from importers, manufacturers and stockists dealing with electronic products for import, manufacture, sales and services of gadgets such as mobile, television, laptop and tablets; who would like to sell in the open market under the banner of Odisha Small Industries Corporation Limited (OSIC).
OSIC will act as a facilitator in the entire process and the owner of the brand name.

The main object of OSIC which is a corporation of the Government of Odisha is to aid, assist, counsel and promote MSME units in the State and to provide them necessary support for their all-round growth. 

Among its functions are to provide quality raw material and building material to MSMEs;  to assist in marketing the products of the MSME sector; to act as a syndicate leader as per the IPR of the state government and to act as a contract exchange for MSME sector. (KNN/ST)
