“Our Chief Minister’s vision is to value add to the State’s economy through twin goals of lifting the agriculture economy as well as the industrial economy. We call this inclusive growth or inclusive industrialisation,” Deb said.

The Odisha government has decided to firstly focus on attracting businesses in the fields of chemicals and petrochemicals, textiles, apparels, food processing, handicrafts, green energy and pharmaceuticals.

To accommodate more businesses, Odisha has taken up a huge corridor in western Odisha besides the Biju Expressway from Rourkela to Kotpad in Koraput district. It has declared that entire area as an industrial corridor, as per a report by The Hindu.

The state administration has also decided to develop the Southern parts of the states in order to develop those areas for food processing.

To attract more investors to participate in the upcoming Make in Odisha Conclave’22, the Odisha government is conducting roadshows in India’s key cities. The summit will take place in Bhubaneswar from November 30 to December 4.  (KNN Bureau)
