Odisha, WB transmission firms on face-lift mode

Bhubaneswar, May 27 (KNN) Power Transmission Companies in West Bengal and Odisha are taking steps to procure new equipment and modernize their procurement procedures respectively.

The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) is modernizing its procurement procedure with the help of electronic tendering.

“OPTCL have entered into e-tendering mode for all tendering activities, towards procurement of equipment/ materials and also turn-key projects,” Senior General Manager of the Corporation said in a notification.

From now on, all the manufacturers, suppliers and contractors who want to do businesses with OPTCL should get themselves registered with the Corporation, the official said.

Meanwhile, the West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSTCL) seeks contractors for design, engineering, construction and delivery of the power transformers for the construction of 220KV Gas Insulated Substation and bays at the Dharampur district in the state. (KNN)
