Odisha industries stress on increasing GDP contribution of manufacturing sector by 10%

Bhubaneswar, Feb 4 (KNN) Terming the union budget as balanced document, President of Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) Brahma Mishra said that the manufacturing sector contribution of 17 per cent to the GDP needs to be increased to 27 per cent. 

He said the budget is balanced in view of the highest economic growth India posted despite the ongoing global recession.

Mishra highlighted the provisions and announcements which are in the favour of renewable energy, solar energy, biogas, MSME sector and start-up. 

He also noted the huge variety of provisions granted for Railways in the budget.

With the budgetary provisions, Mishra observed that infrastructure sector development will get a huge leverage.

Infrastructure sector, youth affairs and airports are in the list of developments in this Budget which will generate a lot of employment opportunities for the youths, he said.   (KNN Bureau)
