State-level Khadi Mahotsav underway in Bhubaneswar till March 2

Bhubaneswar, Feb 23 (KNN) The State level “Khadi Mahotsav 2023” was inaugurated by Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) at IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar on February 22, 2023.

The ten-day long Khadi exhibition will display vast array of products manufactured by the rural artisans and PMEGP entrepreneurs of Odisha.

As per reports, rural artisans and PMEGP Entrepreneurs from Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are participating in the event.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the KVIC chairman recalled the clarion call ‘Vocal for Local’ given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He informed that such exhibitions are now being organized by the KVIC throughout the country so that the products of our rural artisans and entrepreneurs can be recognized in big cities. 

“Artisans and entrepreneurs of Odisha should take advantage of the exhibitions being organized by KVIC in other big cities as well as abroad to grow and expand their reach,” he said.

As per reports, during the course of the event, live demonstrations by artisans of spinning, weaving, terracotta and Paper Mache activities will be ongoing.

The Khadi exhibition will end on March 2, 2023.  (KNN Bureau)
