ODOP pushes Uttar Pradesh exports by 30% to Rs 1.40 lakh cr in 2020-21

Lucknow, May 17 (KNN) The exports from Uttar Pradesh has increased from Rs 107423.5 crore to Rs 140123.5 crore during the time period of April 2020-2021 to March 2022. 

With a 30 per cent jump, about 72 per cent items in the state’s total export was under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, revealed the state government. 

Commenting on the data, Navneet Sehgal, ACS, MSME said in the last five years ODOP has been a grand success story.

“We are leaving no stone unturned to fulfill the resolve of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to augment the export of ODOP products as well as double the employment/self-employment opportunities in the next five years," he added. 

Keeping in view the interest of all the stakeholders involved in ODOP scheme, common facility centres (CFCs) are to be set up in all districts where other products have also been selected under the scheme. 

Five CFCs are ready and some are in the process of approval, Sehgal informed.  (KNN Bureau)
