One District-One Product scheme focused to revive rural economy in UP

New Delhi, Aug 5 (KNN) Uttar Pradesh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Siddharth Nath Singh has said that under One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, the government is trying hard to enhance the economy of the rural sector, with the help of MSME.

''In doing so, our sole focus should be on reducing our dependence towards China,” the Minister added.

He said this while speaking at a summit, ‘MSME E-Adhiveshan’, hosted by ABP Ganga to deliberate upon the preparedness of the UP Government in increasing investment & employment in the MSME sector and making UP a self-reliant state.

The highly-anticipated summit was attended by UP MSME Minister, Siddharth Nath Singh and Chief Secretary MSME UP, Navneet Sehgal, among various other dignitaries such as Krishnamurthy Singh (CSRL Executive Director), Rajesh Verma (Director of GM Wire and Cable Private Limited), Sanjiv Gupta (MD of Thermocol), Manish Shukla (SP spokesperson Anurag Bhadoria), and Surendra Rajput (Congress spokesperson).
