Pilot launch of KSWIFT to help business fraternity in Kerala

New Delhi, Jan 7 (KNN) Kerala Single Window Interface for Fast and Transparent Clearance (KSWIFT), a platform for all transactions with the government on the issue of licences and approvals has been launched to help entrepreneurs in Kerala.

The pilot launch will enable the business fraternity to test KSWIFT.

The project is expected to act as one stop portal and single point contact for investments. It is an integrated platform for entrepreneurs to apply for all requisite clearances in the State.

Inaugurating the pilot launch of KSWIFT, Minister for Industries, E.P. Jayarajan said “The mechanism would lead to rapid advancement of the industrial sector.”

This online single window clearance mechanism is aimed at simplifying rules and introducing Information Technology to make governance more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly.

At present, 29 services of 14 departments/agencies are being made available in KSWIFT, wherein all applications can be submitted through a unified common application form (CAF).

Unified payment mechanism, time-bound clearance, and digital approval, online issue of clearances, and composite licences are the key features.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will commission the fine-tuned KSWIFT in February.

The online mechanism has been integrated with the existing web portal of departments / agencies concerned viz., KSEB, Electrical Inspectorate, Labour, Water Authority, PCB, Fire & Rescue, Mining & Geology, SEIAA/CZMA and Factories & Boilers.
