Pink vending zone business yet to pick up in Noida

Noida, Mar 3 (KNN) A few women vendors operating their businesses at the pink vending zones in Noida have complained about the business being slow.

About 50 pink vending zones were inaugurated two months ago by the Noida Authority across nine locations.

However, most zones were found to be empty despite of the Covid-19 restrictions being lifted since last 11 days.

Lack of washroom availability and poor location of the vending zones are of the reasons of low business given by women vendors.

Another problem cited by most of the women vendors was the lack of locking facility for their goods at the kiosks at these vending zones.

According to a media report, Senior Manager, Civil Department, Noida Authority Mukesh Vaish has said that we are in discussion about a locking system for the women vendors.

“It is not possible to have a toilet at all the places, but we will do whatever we can to motivate the women vendors to get back to the vending zone. Otherwise their names will be removed from the list,” he added.  (KNN Bureau)
