PM inaugurates technology center for MSMEs in Puducherry

New Delhi, 12 Jan (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the 25th National Youth Festival in Puducherry via video conferencing at 11 am today.  

Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary is observed as National Youth Day. Due to the prevailing COVID situation, the event is being organized virtually staring from today to January 13, 2022.

The event started with the address of Union Minister Anurag Thakur’s which was followed by the address of Puducherry CM N. Rangaswamy.

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated a Technology Centre of the MSME Ministry in Puducherry which will contribute towards skilling youth and will be able to train around 6400 trainees per year.

Along with this, PM Modi also inaugurated the 'Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Manimandapam' auditorium established by the Puducherry government.

This auditorium is equipped with an open-air theatre and would be primarily used for educational purposes, and can accommodate more than 1000 people.

After the inauguration, the National Youth Summit will be conducted wherein there will be panel discussions on four identified themes including environment, climate, and SDG-led growth; tech, entrepreneurship, and innovation; indigenous and ancient wisdom; and national character, nation-building, and homegrown.

The 25th National Youth Festival is celebrated with a vision of transforming the minds of Indian youth into a united force that works towards the betterment of the country.

The event will also comprise open discussions with Olympians and Paralympians and a live performance in the evening.
