New Delhi, June 26 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the 'Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Abhiyan' aiming to promote local entrepreneurship and create partnership with industrial associations to provide employment opportunities.

While launching the mega job scheme virtually, Modi interacted with villagers from six districts of Uttar Pradesh. Villages across all districts of the state joined the event through Common Service Centres and Krishi Vigyan Kendras.

Through the scheme the government will create partnerships with industry and other organisations as the COVID-19 pandemic affected workforce in general and migrant workers in particular.

The campaign is intensely focused towards providing employment and promoting local entrepreneurship.

Uttar Pradesh is bigger than many countries of the world. Looking at the hard work done by Uttar Pradesh government during COVID19 pandemic, we can say that it has managed to save 85,000 lives, said PM Modi.

He said the mega job scheme for migrant workers will make India self-reliant.
