PM Modi to inaugurate IN-SPACe headquarters in Ahmedabad on June 10

Ahmedabad, June 8 (KNN) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Ahmedabad to inaugurate the headquarters of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) on June 10.

The head office is set up at Bopal in Ahmedabad, said the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Announcing the details, IN-SPACe chairman Pawan Goenka tweeted, “I am happy to announce the inauguration of IN-SPACe Headquarters at Bopal, Ahmedabad by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji on June 10, 2022 at 15:45 Hrs. We are looking forward to working with the industry and ISRO to grow the space sector.”

In June 2020, the union cabinet under the chairmanship of PM Modi approved the IN-SPACe which will act as a nodal agency for allowing space activities, using of Department of Space-owned facilities by non-government private entities, and ensuring greater private participation in the sector.

It will cater to the demands and requirements of private players, including educational and research institutions.

Working in consultation with ISRO it will explore ways to accommodate these requirements.  (KNN Bureau)
