Power shutdown order withdrawn for Jammu industrial sector

Jammu, May 4 (KNN) The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced withdrawal of power shutdown for industrial sector in Jammu, providing relief to the units. 

With the allocation of additional 200MW power from central pool, the corporation has pulled back the imposition of 4 hours power cut in industrial areas.

Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has hailed the J&K government’s decision to withdraw the Power Curtailments schedule as notified earlier by the Power Development Department.

Lalit Mahajan, President, BBIA has appealed to Manoj Sinha,  Lt. Governor, Shiv Anant Tayal, IAS Managing Director, JPDCL for providing uninterrupted power supply to industries of J&K.  to Industrial Sector of J&K.

The industrial units of Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex contribute Rs 150 crore per annum as power usage charges to Power Development Department hence we demand proper power supply, he added.  (KNN Bureau)
