New Delhi, May 27 (KNN)  The power users in Delhi can expect a rise in power tariff with the regulator examining the petitions of the discoms BSES Radhani, BSES Yamuna, Tata Power and NDMC to revise the rates.

“The distribution licensees of Delhi, namely, BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (BRPL), BSES Yamuna Power Ltd (BYPL), Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL) and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have filed their petitions for True Up of expenses for FY 2012-13, Annual Performance Review (APR) of FY 2013-14 and Aggregate Revenue Requirement (ARR) and Tariff for FY 2014-15,” said Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) in a public notice.

Amidst strong criticism that the power sector in the national capital lacks transparency, DERC has called for objections and comments from stakeholders.

Further, due to representations received from some stakeholders, the commission has decided to extend the last date for receipt of objections and comments to June-6.  (KNN/ES)
