PSPCL assures industry of no more unscheduled power cuts in Punjab
Ludhiana, May 3 (KNN) The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has assured the industry that no more unscheduled power cuts will take place.
If there is a need for power cut the corporation will finalise the decision based on industry approval, said Er. Daljit Inderjit Grewal, Director-Distribution, PSPCL during a meeting with industry leaders.
Grewal said that improving power supplies will be the main focus of PSPCL.
He also shared the dates of new sub-stations which are coming up in and around Ludhiana.
“The information to consumers will improve, maintenance staff will be more accountable and repair time will decrease and there will be no unscheduled power cuts,” he added.
The meeting was arranged by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) for industry leaders to highlight issues related to power.
It was suggested that private companies or temporary staff should be hired to handle maintenance issues as staff is short with PSPCL. (KNN Bureau)
