Punjab Election Result: CICU hopes trade & industry will grow under AAP govt

Chandigarh, Mar 10 (KNN) The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) has said that it expects the strengthening of trade & industry in Punjab with the formation of the new Aam Admi Party (AAP) government under the leadership of Bhagwant Maan.

“We congratulate AAP for their tremendous victory and it’s a great satisfaction that a stable government has been formed,” stated CICU in the press release.

Responding to the election results, CICU President S. Upkar Singh Ahuja has urged Bhagwant Maan and other senior AAP leaders to form a team of strong team of Ministers to create a stronger Industry in Punjab which is the solution for many constraints like unemployment and brain drain.”

He said that this will help in increasing revenue collection in the state.

Referring to MSME units on verge of closer due to increase in raw material prices and other factors, Ahuja called it a crucial time for the industry in Punjab.

Unavailability of raw material, lack of skilled labour, high transportation and electricity cost, poor infrastructure in industrial zones etc are our major concerns, however we hope that Punjab will touch new heights under new leadership, stated CICU. (KNN Bureau)
