Punjab govt to set up dedicated marketing cell to boost MSMEs
Chandigarh, Mar 17 (KNN) The Punjab government is in the process of setting up a dedicated marketing cell to boost the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
Reportedly, the government is also focusing on establishing an Rs 100 crore start up fund to give a leg up to startup culture in the state.
The said marketing cell will develop trade linkages for Punjab MSMEs and the startup fund, which will be set up in partnership with IKG Punjab Technical University,
The cell will be dedicated to the promotion of incubators and providing seed or scale up funding to startups. Out of the Rs 100 crore start up fund, 25 per cent will be utilised to promote SC and women entrepreneurs.
