Punjab to equip food processing units with new machines

Chandigarh, Jun 4 (KNN) The Punjab Agri Export Corporation Limited (PAGREXCO) has proposed to replace the present agricultural machines and install new machines in certain food processing units across the state.
The corporation will soon replace mechanical grading waxing lines with mechanical washing-cum-sorting-cum-waxing and grading lines with imported electronic diameter graders in waxing and packing centres in Balluana and Tahliwala Jattan of Fazilka, Kangmai and Chhauni Kalan of Hoshiarpur and Badal of Muktsar districts.
It will also set up similar two processing lines at multi fruits and vegetables processing plants at village Jahankhelan of Hoshiarpur and Alamgarh of Fazilka districts.
Towards this, PAGREXCO is seeking partnership from experienced manufactures deal with imported components for supply, installation and commissioning of the machines.
Each machine will include various processing materials like filed crate conveyor, hydraulic crate tilter, roller elevator, washer unit, sorting inspection unit, waxer unit, dryer unit, packing conveyor and other parts.
PAGREXCO, a joint company by Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Limited and Punjab Mandi Board, has an objective to promote joint ventures for export orientated agro farms, manufacture, process, sell/purchase, store, preserve, distribute or otherwise deal in all kinds of products and materials including agricultural and industrial products, materials and substances for carrying out the main business of the corporation.
