Chandigarh, Oct 23 (KNN)  In an effort to promote the processing of products, the Punjab Mandi Board is opening its new maize dryer centres in the state.

The project is run under the Punjab Agricultural Marketing Board which regulates and promotes the marketing of agricultural products. It will establish two centres at Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur districts.

In this regard, the board is seeking partnership from different entities. The proposals can be submitted by the entities jointly with other private or public partners, the department said today.

Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board was established in 1961 under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act with an objective to control and supervise the marketing network of sale, purchase, storage and processing of processed or non-processed agricultural produce.  (KNN/ST)
