Punjab emerges as India's preferred industrial destination, claims CM Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, May 3 (KNN) Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday asserted that the state has become the top choice for industries in the nation and is experiencing extensive growth in all sectors. 

Addressing a gathering after dedicating a plant of steel coating products, the CM pointed out that a strong association between the state government and industrialists has made Punjab an industrial hub in the country.

Maan highlighted the new industrial policy 2022 which aims to attract huge investment and generate maximum employment in the coming five years.

He said the policy provides competitive incentives to all segments of investments including expansions and new micro, small and medium enterprises, large units, export promotion, startups and others. 

As per reports, the plant for steel coating products has been set up at a cost of Rs 247 crore and it will provide employment to over 600 youth in the state.

This is a zero liquid discharge plant which will neither pollute water nor air, an official release said.  (KNN Bureau)
