This information was given by ACS Veenu Gupta, at the FIICI-Rajasthan event wherein he said that the industries department is working on a new MSME policy which would be rolled out by the end of this month.

To remove approval barriers and speed up project implementation the state government has allowed MSMEs to start their projects without any approvals for five years after which they are required to submit the approvals, she said.

Under the MSME Act the government has extended the period of three years for exemption of approval requirements, added Gupta.

She also said that specifically for MSMEs Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO) is earmarking plots in its Industrial areas.  (KNN Bureau)
