Rajasthan MSME-DI to organise vendor development programme

Jaipur, Dec 30 (KNN) The Jaipur Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises-Development Institute (MSME-DI) and Kota Association of Small Scale Industry (SSI) are jointly organising a national vendor development programme cum exhibition to showcase cutting edge technology.

The programme scheduled on January 24 and 25, 2014 at Science Centre in Kota is an initiative for vendors, government departments, PSUs and large industries, technocrats and consultant, importers, exporters, traders, research and design institutions, trade delegations, policy and key decision makers.

The two-day exhibition will showcase a range of MSME themes like product manufacturers and suppliers, bearing, castings and forgings, non-ferrous metals, industrial cleaning system, pumps and valves, auto parts, ceramics, chemicals, plastics, rubber, leather, dye pharmaceutical, surgical, fertilizers, electronics, food products, textiles, raw materials, IT services, packaging industries and finance institutions.

Day one will involve programmes on advancement and latest technological development in product design, quality control, cost competitiveness and IT application in MSME sector.

The second day will focus on procurement procedure and vendor rating system will be explained for central government, PSUs, large industries, public procurement policy and other schemes for benefit of MSMEs.

The participation in these sessions will be cost free.

The Jaipur MSME-ID is engaged in promotion and development of SSI in Rajasthan. The important consultancy services provided by the institute include techno-economic and managerial services and basic input in the form of information required to set up new unit. The entrepreneurs are guided suitably to enable them to start their own ventures. (KNN/ST)
