Rajasthan to promote electronic manufacturing

Jaipur, Jul 18 (KNN) The state agency, Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd (RICCO) is working on a plan to promote electronics manufacturing in a big way for which it will be commissioning a professional study.
The corporation has taken up initiatives to promote and develop the sector by way of creating infrastructure in terms of IT Parks, communication infrastructures, availability of skilled and trained manpower through institutional set ups and also customized packages of incentives to the sector.
It will soon be appointing consultants to study the electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) sector.
In this regard, RIICO is inviting bids from experienced consultancy firms and organisations for promoting electronics sector in the state.
RIICO is the sole state government agency involved in development of land for industrial enterprises. Large, medium and small scale projects get an easy access to a ready -to- use base with supportive infrastructure facilities in the industrial areas, developed and managed by the corporation.
The Rajasthan government launched IT Policy and Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy which is aimed at developing knowledge city catering to education, entertainment, health, recreation, research and information technology sectors. (KNN/ST)
