RCCI to organise mega trade and investment event in Rajkot

New Delhi Dec 31 (KNN) With the onset of new year, Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with many other organisation and firms, is on way to organise “Vibrant Saurashtra Expo and Summit" early in January.

The summit, holding its prime focus on trade, investment, tourism, education and culture, is scheduled to happen from 8th -11th January in Race Course grounds, Rajkot. The theme of the event is centred around MAKE IN INDIA, SKILL INDIA, DIGITAL INDIA, CLEAN (Swachh) INDIA, SMART (Cities) INDIA and Start-Up India – Stand-Up India.

A press note by the RCCI disclosed about the summit. The organising committee comprises of Octagon Communications, Global Network – an international trade advisory firm, co-organized by the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with IndextB, Government of Gujarat and several associations of Saurashtra.

With an overall delegation from 20 countries, the event would be witnessing the participation of all the clusters from Saurashtra through an exhibition and a knowledge summit. Products and services of Saurashtra region will be on display at the exhibition. At the same time, the summit will deliver much needed knowledge capital on best practices from around the world for the Saurashtra cluster of industries. Several Overseas Universities are also participating.

The summit looks forward to release and present, 22 detailed investment reports for Saurashtra region on sectors like gems and jewellery, agricultural machinery and equipments, engineering and electrical, machine tools, brass components, food and edible oil, medical tourism, chemicals, cements, cotton and yarn, smart cities and real estate, kitchen appliances, handicrafts, textiles and garments, mining and minerals, timber and wood, automotive components, casting and forgings, ceramic tiles, sanitary ware and metal fabrication.

The summit also comprehends a special “Invented India Pavilion” which is dedicated to the Young Entrepreneurs and Start-ups from Saurashtra region.

Several MOU’s will be signed between foreign delegations and Rajkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI). 

Around 200,000 business visitors are expected to attend from India and abroad. (KNN Bureau)
