Rs.12000 cr granted to J&K for power upgradation to ensure industries get uninterrupted supply

Jammu, May 24 (KNN) Krishan Pal Gurjar, Minister of State (MoS), Ministry of Power & Heavy Industries said that Rs.12000 crore has been granted to Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for the creation and upgradation of power infrastructure to ensure that uninterrupted power supply is provided to the industrial sector.
Interacting the members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) led by President Lalit Mahajan, the MoS assured the delegation to resolve the issues related to the industrial sector as early as possible for speedy industrial growth in UT of J&K.
Welcoming the minister, Mahajan, highlighted the grant of fiscal incentives of Rs 28,400 crore for the industrial sector of J&K.
He stressed on the various issues related to the industrial sector and urged the minister for the creation of power infrastructure within time bound manner.
Lalit also appealed for considering reimbursement of road freight for the dispatch of industrial goods to domestic market as well as for export.
BBIA presented a MoU to the minister in the presence of Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP, Jammu, Chander Prakash, Former Industries & Commerce Minister, J&K Govt., Kashav Dutt Sharma Chairperson, District Development Council, Samba, Ajay Langer VP, BBIA and Viraaj Malhotra, SG, BBIA. (KNN Bureau)
