Safety & Health Exhibition Centre on Asbestos & Silica at RLI Faridabad

New Delhi, Oct 7 (KNN) The Regional Labour Institute (RLI) Faridabad has developed a permanent “Safety and Health Exhibition Centre on Asbestos and Silica” which is first of its kind in India to generate awareness among the stakeholders of silica and asbestos handling units on different aspects of health & safety.
Asbestosis and silicosis are occupational diseases which are prevalent in different industries handling asbestos and free silica respectively.
The newly developed centre was inaugurated during the 54th Conference of Chief Inspectors of Factories held recently at RLI, Faridabad under the aegis of Directorate General Factory Advice Service and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI).
“This is an effort of DGFASLI and RLI, Faridabad for the promotion of safety and health of the workers at national level,” Ministry of Labour & Employment said in a release today.
The Chief Inspectors of Factories assembled from different states of the country brain-stormed on the issues related to the administration and enforcement of the Factories Act, 1948. (KNN Bureau)
