SBI disburses Rs 1000 cr to MSME units in Nagaland

Dimapur, Mar 26 (KNN) State Bank of India (SBI) so far has disbursed Rs 1000 core to MSME units in Nagaland reaching out to twenty thousand beneficiaries and of which 50 per cent of the activities have been taken up, said AGM Abinash Hembrom, SBI, RBO, Dimapur. 

He emphasised on the scope that Nagaland holds and encouraged the entrepreneurs to look at a broader perspective and plan things accordingly. 

Hembrom was speaking at a publicity and awareness programme on cold storage for MSME units organized by MSME-development institute, Dimapur in association with Business Association of Nagas (BAN) and ice make refrigerator Ltd Gujarat.

S. Venugopal, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Nagaland director was the chief guest who highlighted the importance of mindset and the potential of Nagaland.

He stressed on the necessity of products being standard and encouraged the attendants to make use of NIT’s labs for product development.

BAN president, Mongkum Jamir called upon Naga MSME entrepreneurs not to start or join a business for becoming rich overnight but to educate yourself about the financial aspect and make sure that the product and service is optimal. 

MSME-DI Dimapur joint director Tali Longchar delivered the welcome address wherein he spoke about the MoU inked between MSME-DIN and BAN to disseminate the information reaching out to the grassroot level to uplift the Nagas to do business. 

MSME-DI Dimapur Moasungla Longchar chaired the programme and later MSME-DI Dimapur assistant director A SelwinSamraj gave vote of thanks.  (KNN Bureau)
