New Delhi, Oct 25 (KNN) The Embassy of Sweden and VFS Global - the external service provider for visa applications - have agreed to provide two additional Visa Application Centres for Schengen visas in Pune and Hyderabad for Indian travellers. The facility has already begun.

“Whilst applying for a Schengen visa, there is a basic requirement to provide biometric. New applicants for a Schengen visa have to travel to the nearest EU foreign mission to give their biometric information (10 fingerprints and a facial image), which is then entered into the system and remains valid for five years,” the embassy said in a release.

For a non-EU national with a university degree or five years' professional experience and a salary equivalent to one and a half times the average gross salary in Sweden, he/she may apply for an EU Blue Card, the embassy said.  (KNN/PC)
